Personality; This appeared as a moral dilema ;; Doctor Horrible does, in fact, have morals when it comes to human life. This is shown when the Bad Horse Chorus makes their reprise, making Bad Horse's ultimatum of kill someone, or don't get into the Evil League of Evil. This created a shift in gears of what he had to do. This disdain for murdering people is shown even more when Moist says that there is word on a kid who grows up to be president "I'm not killing a little kid!" which Moist follows up with "Smother an old lady?" And the look and response from Doctor Horrible are that of almost horror and absolute disgust "Do I even KNOW you?"
This opinion is swayed only by his hatred for one Captain Hammer, of course. He appears in the laundromat when Billy and Penny are both talking, after Billy attempted to rush out of there after hearing he was arriving. After one too many comments, he was pushed over the edge when Brand New Day began to play, Doctor Horrible stating that he had found his victim.
The world's filled with filth and lies ;; He sees the world as diseased. He thinks that someone has to rule over and fix the mess that is the world in order for anything to be perfect in the world so heeeeee issssss...
FULL OF HIMSELF. The blonde short man is like his How I Met Your Mother counterpart in the whole full of himself way, only... Not... A womanizer. And more relateable. He views himself as the only one who can fix anything that is wrong in this world, so he views himself as a savior, I guess? An evil - Not henchman! - doer who can save the world?
A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do ;; Love? Dream job? Love? Dream job? This is what this quote boils down to. His desire to be in the Evil League of Evil overshadows his love of Penny. He is an incredibly conflicted soul, despite how he seems so adamant on being part of the ELE except for the times he's stalking after Penny and Captain Hammer on their dates. It's hilarious to actually watch, for sure.
Is it bad Captain Hammer couldn't tell it was him when he wore a fake mustache but knew instantly when the hair wasn't gelled and the evil doctor look isn't there? Oh this is Doctor Horrible personality? Right.

He gets jealous and obsessed over something, or someone, when he really wants it, or the. This applies to the ELE, AND Penny.
There's No Happy ending. So they say, not for me anyway ;; This line ALONE shows pessimism. Yes, the quote is most of this line, no, I don't care. It works. I've analyzing the fuck out of this character. Alright? Also FUCK the order the quotes happen. ONTO THE MEANING OF THIS THOUGH. Pessimism. Yeah. That about covers it. He thinks nothing will ever go his way deep down in his evil heart and AHA.
Penny's the one who dies for him to succeed and move onto bigger and badder things... Penny who he loves. So yeah. Foreshadowing? I think yes. Everything went his way, just about, until he saw dead!Penny before Everything You Ever.
It's Doctor Horrible's turn! ;; This is from 'Slipping', where he had finally lost his nice-bad-boy vibe going on with him the entire series where he'd fuck up multiple times. This is also where he shows just how evil he can be. The entire song is essentially a giant threat up until "... That's... Not a good sound..." When the freeze ray screwed up. And he got punched in the face. By Captain Hammer. YEP. That was fun for him.
But essentially, he wound up snapping, having had enough with being the underdog. This is when he knew he would kill Captain Hammer, when something was finally going his way. He showed that he is a strong, confident character in those situations. So, in a way, he's a realist. What with the quote above and the one here.
... I don't love these! ;; TIRED OF VAGUE QUOTES YET? The point in the series I took this from, Penny had told him that Captain Hammer was on his way to the laundromat. Now, looking at the thin pale blonde, he could've turned five shades whiter right in front of you. That being said, if there is danger he will run and flee like a little kid. The scene pretty much happened this "... He's coming HERE?" "Yep" "OH LOOK AT MY WRIST I HAVE TO GO" "Billy, your clothes!" "... I DON'T LOVE THESE!" And running into Captain Hammer.
But that's just using the scene as total example. He is a coward, though really. A lovable freakin' coward. He will work on doing whatever it takes to better himself, what with him wanting to work under Bad Horse, using him as inspiration, but that doesn't change the fact that if he is caught with his guard down and his mortal enemy right there in front of him, he will pretty much flip his shit and try to get the hell out of dodge as soon as freakin' possible.
What's that? Shut up? Alright will do! The entire series asked me to do this by my watching is a billion times in the past, though. JSYK.

"Stupid. Stupid. Stupid." He grumbled as he skulked off away from his lab and home, getting into the van he had with his freeze ray. There was a sigh as he got behind the wheel, judging himself still. "Peace. What villain would say peace? What if Bad Horse was watching?" He sneered and just drove to where the mayor was.
He stopped at a light, glancing over to see a kid looking at the dark, stained glass of his van window and panicked before putting on a pair of sunglasses, ripping the goggles and his jacket off, showing a plain gray t-shirt underneath. He sighed as he continued driving to the bridge, parking and sneaking out of his car, not seeing anything wrong with the setting at all.
Peeking around, he snuck the freeze ray from the back of the car, aiming to point it at the podium where the mayor would stand, smirk crossing his face. Things were easier than he thought!
'FREEZE!'
Doctor Horrible sneered and groaned before turning around to see five guns pointed at him, quickly spinning the head of the freeze ray around to point to them, clicking the button at the side to turn it on, a high pitched noise signalling that is was warming up.
"I've got this under control, gentlemen." A familiar voice sang out, smirk showing in his just full-of-himself voice. The LAPD stood down, leaving Captain Hammer in the back, holding a car in his hands.
"C'monc'monc'mon!" The Doctor yelped, urging the freeze ray to warm up faster, but to no avail. The car was thrown, and he barely dodged, quickly rushing to his vehicle as it did, unfortunately, hit the freeze ray.
Getting into the car, the Doctor started it up and drove as quickly as he could all the way back to his lab to go back on the web, paler than when he had left, shoulders lower as well, eyes wide.
"Uhhhm..." His voiced cracked as he spoke, blinking a few times rapidly. "I have to be careful about what I say on this blog... The LAPD is among our watchers..." There was more blinking.
"... Captain Hammer threw a car... At my head..."

Keine-san is interested in organizing a committee with multiple representatives from each Welcome Hall/God’s group to keep track of people in each hall, pass on information in case of emergencies and organise volunteer activities – it’s pretty open right now!
